The CostCut Club Value Proposition
Maximizing Yield for Consumers, Tenants, and Corporate Partners
The CostCut Club network is engineered to simulate a 50% reduction in consumer shopping expenditures while ensuring participating vendors within Ayala Malls receive full retail settlement. Rather than relying on margin-eroding point-of-sale discounts, the platform utilizes a proprietary algorithm to administer purchasing value inside a closed-loop matrix, guaranteeing high-velocity repeat traffic for retail properties.
⚙️ Operational Architecture: The Intelligent Marketplace
At the core of this framework is a digital hub that unifies merchant discovery with transactional utility.
-
Targeted Retail Media: A built-in directory connects participating businesses directly with a high-intent user base, serving as an interactive channel for premium promotional placement.
-
Closed-Loop Consumption: • Member purchasing value is distributed via matching prepaid funds credited to a secure digital wallet. These balances are mathematically restricted to eligible transactions at physical mall locations.
-
Guaranteed Patronage: • Because accumulated value is strictly tied to corporate tenants, subscribers have a powerful incentive to prioritize these brick-and-mortar storefronts even when initially paying full retail prices.
📈 Subscription & Invitation-Based Membership Scale
The platform scales rapidly through an invitation-only, predictable recurring revenue model.
-
Predictable SaaS Revenue: User participation requires a ₱300 monthly subscription, automatically billed through major integrated payment gateways (GCash, Maya, debit cards, and credit cards).
-
Viral Referral Architecture: Growth is driven via an invitation-only network where each new subscriber is structurally incentivized to refer three new members. (Detailed referral mechanics are covered in subsequent chapters).
-
Mass Consumer Appeal: The ability to continuously unlock matched purchasing power makes the monthly subscription highly attractive, driving organic adoption from major urban hubs to provincial markets.
The Reward Point Accumulation System
Each new member enters the system with three Reward Points. As additional members join, the algorithm allocates eligible incoming Reward Points through the established network structure, allowing members to accumulate points toward a defined cycle limit.
Each member is programmed to accumulate a maximum of 243 Reward Points per cycle. At ₱100 per point, completing the cycle represents a total Cash Value Accumulation (CVA) of ₱24,300.
This mechanism links membership growth to the accumulation of purchasing value within the CostCut Club ecosystem. The detailed referral structure, point allocation rules, and cycle mechanics are explained in the membership and algorithm chapters.
Cash Value Accumulation and the 50% Co-Pay
Accumulated Reward Points are redeemed through the Cash Value Accumulation (CVA) mechanism.
Redemption requires a 50% co-pay under the program rules. Upon completion of the required co-pay, the redeemed value is converted into consumable prepaid loads.
These prepaid loads are credited to the CostCut Club closed-loop eWallet and can be used exclusively for eligible purchases at participating stores inside Ayala Malls.
They are not unrestricted cash and cannot be withdrawn or used outside the authorized network.
This restriction is central to the commercial model: purchasing value generated within CostCut Club is directed back into the participating merchant network, encouraging members to return and spend within the ecosystem.
The detailed redemption procedure, co-pay requirements, and eWallet operating rules are explained in their respective chapters.
Expanding the Shopping Network Across the Philippines
The invitation-based subscription model is designed to extend customer reach beyond the immediate geographic footprint of existing Ayala Malls.
As membership expands into other cities and provinces, it creates opportunities to identify areas with growing concentrations of potential customers and increasing retail demand.
For Ayala Group, this presents a potential pathway for data-informed retail expansion.
Growing subscriber communities could support the business case for establishing Ayala Malls in underserved areas where sustained customer demand can be demonstrated.
In locations without an Ayala Mall, CostCut Club can also develop alternative participating merchant shopping networks.
This would allow the ecosystem to extend its reach while creating opportunities for future Ayala Group expansion where market conditions support it.
The broader commercial opportunity is a reinforcing relationship between membership growth, purchasing activity, merchant participation, and retail development.
As the subscriber base expands, CostCut Club is designed to generate additional customer demand, create opportunities for participating businesses, and help Ayala Group evaluate new markets for future growth.
